My relationship with laughter took shape years ago, and since then, it has been a path of ceaseless discovery that I adore.
If you have shared laughs with me, either in person or virtually, I want to express my gratitude for being part of this incredible adventure.
It was in 2010, while browsing the web for tools to share with my Spanish-speaking community group in Toronto, that I discovered Laughter Yoga.
This discipline resonated with me deeply, and I soon found myself learning from Duncan Cook, a Master Trainer of Laughter Yoga.
I remember the first day clearly. I felt disoriented and intimidated. I wasn't sure why I was there or what I hoped to gain.
But I decided to keep an open mind and let myself go to see what would unfold.
Three months later, I had the honor of meeting Dr. Madan Kataria in Orlando, Florida, during my Laughter Yoga Teacher certification.
Later, I discovered the discipline of Laughtercize through Albert Nerenberg, who trained me as a workshop facilitator and party leader. I was fortunate to be one of the few to gain this unique expertise.
Driven by a constant desire to learn, these trainings deepened my understanding of the benefits of breathing and relaxation for both body and mind.
Now, I have consolidated my own method, RisAlegria, an amalgamation of everything I've learned, infused with my unique and original sense of humor.
